Wimbledon FC legend Lawrie Sanchez has risked upsetting AFC Wimbledon supporters by praising their bitter rivals MK Dons.
Sanchez, 55, scored the winning goal for the Wombles in their incredible FA Cup Final win against Liverpool in 1988 and made over 270 appearances for the club.
The former Northern Ireland manager has now claimed ‚it’s hard to not be impressed‘ with the Dons who recently won promotion to the Championship and believes time could be a heeler between their fans and AFC’s.
He told the Surrey Comet: “MK Dons were founded in a way that should not have been allowed and it can’t happen again, especially after a change of rules by the FA.
